News and updates
In May, Director Brett Hawke organised NRL Rail’s first inaugural charity golf event. We’re delighted to say it was a resounding success, raising an impressive £2,078. These funds will go towards supporting the crucial services provided by Barnsley Independent Alzheimer’s and Dementia Support. Following positive feedback from the participants, the team are looking into hosting the event again next year.
Over the summer, Brett Hawke made the journey to West Bromwich Albion Football Club as his daughter and the team he chairs competed in the National ESFA finals representing her school in the PlayStation cup finals. NRL were delighted to supply the team with tracksuit tops to add to the unforgettable experience.
This year we acquired the first all-electric vehicle in our fleet, the Maxus T90. To celebrate the occasion, a competition was held for colleagues across the NRL Group to give the vehicle a name as it prepared to hit the road. The winning name, MERV (Maximus Electric Rail Vehicle), was submitted by Ian Brown from our Linx Workforce Solutions business. The team were delighted to share the first photos of MERV.
Safety and Compliance
Compliance Manager Pat McCarthy, Rail Director Brett Hawke, and our dedicated team invest a significant amount of time ensuring that our operations adhere to the highest standards in meeting our Health & Safety, Quality, Environmental and Wellbeing obligations. We are thrilled to announce that earlier this year, we achieved an outstanding audit from the Rail Industry Supplier Qualification Scheme (RISQS).
In addition to the RISQS certification, we have recently maintained our ISO 9001 (Quality Management System) ISO 14001 (Environmental and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety) accreditations. These certifications reaffirm that we consistently meet industry standards, ensuring that our operations are safe, efficient and reliable.
“Achieving an outstanding audit from RISQS and renewing our ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 accreditations are significant milestones for our team. These accomplishments highlight a continued commitment and adherence in improving the reliability of our comprehensive integrated management systems. They also serve as an assurance to our clients that they are partnering with a supplier that prioritises compliance and strives for excellence in every aspect of our operations.”
